Week 7 Term 2

This week with Sam we have been thinking about capacity as part of our maths topic on measurement.

With Tracy we have been looking at skip counting in 2's, 5's and 10's in our numeracy lessons.
We completed our art project using printing and rubbing methods to capture the details and colours of autumn leaves.
We were also treated to some impressive Maori art designs during news this week.
Still on the subject of art, take a look at our portraits and pepehas that are  now on display in the class.

Another art display new to the classroom is our handprints that explored primary and secondary colour mixing.
yellow and red make orange

red and blue make purple

blue and yellow make green
You can check out more of this art work on our Kidzstuff blog linked to this blog in the right side panel.
On Wednesday Jenny popped into share another Thinkers activity with us. This time we were focusing on asking questions about our  big book.
Some of our parents have been learning one of our favourite thinkers games before school this week.
We have been very active outside learning skills to help us with hockey and football......
..it was all great fun even if it was a little muddy at times!
This blog would not be complete without a celebration of Saturday's Treemendous Garden Make Over..well done Room 10/ Take a look at the slide show below to find out what we got up to.
Finally if you have not caught up on all the pirate fun generated by this treasure map take a look at the slide show on our previous blog.
