Week 3 Term 3

Thank you for visiting our Room 10 blog. Please scroll down to see our learning from Week 3 of Term 3.
This week we had the opportunity to make our own bees wax food wraps. This video shows you the process involved. The idea has come from our school environmental agents. They did a waste audit last year and found that most of our rubbish as school comes from lunch boxes. We are aiming for 100% waste free lunch boxes!

Here we learnt about where the bees wax comes from.....
...and the next day we were using our own wraps that we made!
There was plenty of opportunity to practice the key Competency of Relating to Others in No Child Left Inside this week when we had to work together as parts of a caterpillar in races and searches for 'food'.

This week we started our art project for this years calendar fundriaisng project. We looked at cats painted by Laurel Birch and then made our own cat designs which will be surrounded by bright flowers and green leaves. These will be ready to view by the end of Week 4. Check out the school news letter for information about how you can purchase these. They make great Christmas gifts.

Discovery Time this week was inspired by the Tiger That Came To Tea.
Take a look at all the fun learning we got up to.
